IT services for the pharma industry

Software for the processes that sit between your systems.

total10 builds Non-GxP business applications, portals and interfaces for the pharma industry, from distribution through to logistics. We complete your SAP and warehouse management landscape wherever day-to-day work doesn't fit the standard case: in production since 2016, built to stay traceable, run by one team throughout.

The starting point

Digitalisation in pharma: the standard system covers the standard case.

Pharma means temperature-controlled processes, batches and expiry dates, complete documentation (GDP-compliant in logistics), and clients that must stay cleanly separated. Your ERP and warehouse management systems cover the core of that, reliably. They're built for the standard case.

Day-to-day work rarely fails because of the big system. It fails at the last few percentage points: proof of delivery arrives from three shipping sources in three different formats, promotional material gets ordered through an email form, someone copies monthly reports together by hand. These are manual handoffs no WMS vendor ships a module for, because every company's version looks different.

These gaps are exactly where we work. We don't build a second SAP, we build the bespoke software alongside it: connected through API and SFTP, with no manual handoffs, without you having to touch your existing system. See what that looks like in practice in the case where scattered proof-of-delivery documents became a searchable customer portal.

How we work

Understand first, then build what's missing.

Many of our projects start without a spec: a process that "sort of works" and a team who's tired of it. That's why the first step here is never code. Who's actually behind it: about us.

Analyse

We get to the bottom of the process before we build anything. What it actually needs is rarely in the spec, and sometimes the best answer isn't the one you asked for.

Research

We look for the best way to solve it, not the nearest template, matched to your systems, your clients and your audit requirements.

Build to be audited

We build for audit trails: every processing step is logged, every state stays reconstructable, with GDP requirements in view.

Services

Consulting, delivery and operations: one team, one point of contact.

Three service bundles, one point of contact: from scoping a project with no spec, through business applications and interfaces, to running it for years.

Consulting & architecture

When there's no spec, we write it. We get to the bottom of the process, design the architecture and data model, and hand you decision papers you can actually rely on, costed with disclosed assumptions instead of optimistic flat fees. See how that pays off in the case where a request for a web shop turned into a multi-tenant stock-alert service.

Process & requirements analysis
We understand the workflow before we talk technology.
Architecture & data model
A structure that fits today and stays extendable tomorrow.
Interface & migration concept
How data flows, and how a legacy system gets replaced cleanly.
Decision papers
Clear options with a recommendation, so you can make the case internally.
Transparent costing
Effort estimated with disclosed confidence levels and assumptions.
Support through to sign-off
One point of contact the whole way through, no hand-offs.

Business applications & integration

We build the software that completes your existing systems: multi-tenant portals, self-service tools for your customers, document and reporting pipelines, and automations that connect to SAP, warehouse management and carriers through API and SFTP. Where the other side speaks a different language, EDI or a manufacturer-specific export format, we connect that too. Full traceability and clean logs are an architecture principle here, not an add-on. See how invisible an automation like this becomes in daily use in the case of automated order confirmations.

How we build business applications: bespoke development
Portals & self-service
Web portals where your customers retrieve documents and cases themselves, around the clock, kept separate by tenant.
Interfaces & integration
Connections to SAP, warehouse management and carriers over SFTP or API, no manual handoffs.
Process automation
Recurring workflows run fully automatically, with retry logic, exception routing and logging.
Document & reporting pipelines
Documents and reports are generated automatically, matched to the order and distributed.
Multi-tenancy
Multiple clients cleanly separated in one system, each seeing only their own data.
Audit-ready & traceable
Every step logged, every state reconstructable, with GDP requirements in view.

Operations & evolution

Software isn't a project with an end date. We run your applications in an ISO 27001-certified data centre in Germany, under a DPA per GDPR Art. 28, and keep developing them for years: our oldest business application for pharma logistics has been running since 2016. The case study tells how that continuity quietly grew into a knowledge platform for everyday operations.

Managed hosting
Hosted in an ISO 27001-certified data centre in Germany, data stays in Germany.
Monitoring & availability
Round-the-clock monitoring, fast response to incidents.
Maintenance & security
Regular updates and security patches keep the system current.
Automated tests & CI
Every change is tested before it goes live.
Planned modernisation
We keep an eye on EOL and LTS dates and schedule updates in good time.
One fixed point of contact
You talk to the person who knows the system, not a ticketing system.

Clear boundaries

What we don't do, and why that works in your favour.

We don't carry out computer system validation: no GAMP 5, no IQ/OQ/PQ documentation, no GxP certificates. Our systems are deliberately Non-GxP: applications that don't require formal validation under your system classification, and stay fast, flexible and affordable precisely because of that.

We draw that line deliberately, because it keeps projects clean: the classification sits in the URS, validation effort stays where it belongs, and nobody sells you a compliance promise they can't keep. We still build for audits: complete logs, reconstructable states and audit-ready records are engineering discipline here, not a certificate bolted on. Our guide explains exactly what Non-GxP means.

From the field

What we've built for the pharma industry.

Case Study

Straight to the patient, without ever touching their data

Pharma manufacturers have to get material to the people at the other end of the supply chain: doctors, pharmacies and patients. The sensitive part is the data. Whoever's ordering is often a patient, and a manufacturer neither wants nor is allowed to manage their details. We build lean, gated ordering microsites that solve exactly that: patients and healthcare professionals request free material directly, the manufacturer never sees their data, and fulfilment runs fully automatically through the logistics provider.

Case Study

Ordering promotional material without losing control

Promotional material for medicines ends up with the field sales team, but it costs money to produce. Who gets how much of it needs controlling. For more than a decade, we've built and maintained the gated ordering platforms several pharma manufacturers use to do exactly that: order under control, deliver automatically, track everything at any time. Over the years, an internal ordering tool has grown into a platform that carries entire sales and billing processes.

Case Study

How expensive reusable boxes stopped going missing

Temperature-controlled reusable boxes are expensive, and under manual shipping they went missing by the dozen. We brought the whole cycle into the system: every box is tied to its order at dispatch, travels with a ready-made return label, comes back tracked, and gets cleaned under control before it goes out again.

Frequently asked questions

What buyers and decision-makers ask us.

Do you work to GxP validation?
No, deliberately not. We develop Non-GxP systems: applications that don't require formal validation under your system classification. We keep that distinction clean: a clear classification in the URS instead of a grey area, auditable architecture instead of a certificate promise.
GDP: distribution or documentation practice?
In pharma logistics, GDP means Good Distribution Practice, the EU guideline for the medicine supply chain. There's also Good Documentation Practice as a documentation principle. Our systems serve both: they document distribution processes completely, traceably and in an audit-ready way.
Do your applications replace our SAP or WMS?
No. We build the software alongside it: portals, automations and interfaces that connect through API and SFTP; other routes such as EDI or proprietary formats are just as feasible technically. Your existing system stays untouched, and the gap between systems gets closed.
We don't have a spec. Can we still start?
Yes, that's the normal case for us. We start with process analysis and deliver a decision paper with an architecture proposal, confidence-based costing and a disclosed list of assumptions. We only start building once that holds up.
How long does a typical business application take?
A well-scoped portal or an interface automation typically takes eight to twelve weeks to go live. Larger platforms grow over years; our oldest has been running since 2016.
Where do the systems run, and who owns the data?
In an ISO 27001-certified data centre in Germany, under a data processing agreement per GDPR Art. 28. Your data stays in Germany and belongs to you, including full export capability.
