Shopware 5: Ende der Herstellerunterstützung

Die shopware AG hatte Unterstützung für Shopware 5 bis Juli 2024 angekündigt; seit September 2026 steht im offiziellen Code-Verzeichnis auf GitHub, dass es nicht mehr aktiv gepflegt wird.
Dieser Eintrag betrifft keinen Rechtsakt, sondern eine Angabe des Herstellers zum Lebenszyklus seiner Software. In einer Ankündigung vom 16. August 2022 schrieb die shopware Shopware Shopware is e-commerce software from shopware AG in Schöppingen, Germany; the vendor says its current product, Shopware 6, is a complete redevelopment of Shopware 5. Read in the glossary → AG, Shopware 5 solle noch bis Juli 2024 unterstützt werden. Bis dahin sollte es dem Beitrag zufolge Sicherheitspatches geben, aber keine neuen Funktionen. Eine Version 5.8 werde es nicht geben. Einen genauen Tag für das Ende nennt die Ankündigung nicht, nur den Monat.
Auch die Beschreibung (README) des offiziellen Code-Repositorys shopware5/shopware auf GitHub hält den Status fest. Das Repository werde nicht mehr aktiv überwacht oder gepflegt, heißt es dort. Gelegentliche Updates seien möglich, aber nicht garantiert. Der Hinweis kam mit einer Änderung vom 16. September 2026 in die README.
Die letzte veröffentlichte Version im offiziellen Repository war beim Abruf am 2. November 2026 v5.7.20 vom 5. Juni 2025. Die Upgrade-Hinweise im Repository enthielten zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits einen Abschnitt für Version 5.7.21. Ein Release dieser Version gab es nicht.
